Haunted Round Rock Tour

We went on a walking tour of "haunted Round Rock" http://www.roundrockghosts.com/ Pretty interesting, learned some of the history of Round Rock. I would not recomend doing this tour after the Austin Ghost Tour- Do this one first, then do the the austin one.
Anyway, we took pictures inside of the Palm House on our camera phones. Look closely- see anything? (upper right hand corner and to the left of the dress) -the light was not visiable when we were taking the picture & it is not car lights shining in the window.

I hate snakes.

Especially when you are not expecting to see one! This morning I was weeding in the garden, and bam this snake sticks it's head out from under the rock I am standing on!!!!! It was much much smaller than the last snake I encountered. The head was maybe as wide as two of my fingers. I could have swarn there was some orange spots on it- anyway, we have some neighbors that are very into snakes. Unforunately, said neighbor was at work. So, I called our neighbors from across the street. He bravely came to my aide! The snake had burrowed (sp?) under the rock and made a place for itself under the brick. Our neighbor caught the snake between a rock and the shovel he brought- cut off its head. As we watched the head (it was DETACHED from its body) the head was moving and wiggling and opening and closing its mouth!!! I am not sure what was worse having a possiably poisionous snake in my yard or watching its decapitated head move and wiggle!!!!!!!! The snake had pits in its mouth, and what looks to be the start of rattlers on the end of the "tail". Anyway, not for sure what kind it is- I sent off some pics and am looking on the web.

Dilloman---Team SMITHY------

It's over! The dilloman was pretty fun. The water temp was pretty good-almost a little too warm. (Yup- I thought I would never say any such thing but....) The weather was pretty good too- not to hot.
I have to say I did pretty much what I thought I would - somewhere in the middle.
Will and Justin kicked butt. Justin ran a 3 minute mile! And Will was able to keep a speed of 15 miles an hour. Our overall finish was 194/458 teams, and 6/10 for Relay teams. Not bad for Justin and my first time out...I had a swim time of 25 minutes. The fastest swimmer was 13 minutes.
The morning started out a little stressful. We were RIGHT on time-as in the last team "checked in". We remembered to bring the camera with us to the event just not out of the car to the event....so we have no pictures and are waitning on the offical picture company to post them on their web. I do have a picture of the course.
The red is the swim- green is the bike portion and the blue is the run.
